The ideal candidate will have a passion for all animals and the ability to provide exceptional care for pets in a home environment. This role involves ensuring the well-being of pets while their owners are away, offering services that may include feeding, walking, grooming, and providing companionship. The Pet Sitter will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and happiness of our furry clients. Duties Provide daily care for pets, including feeding, walking, and administering medications as needed. Ensure a safe and clean environment for all animals under your care. Engage in playtime and exercise to promote physical activity and mental stimulation. Monitor pet behavior and health, reporting any concerns to pet owners promptly. Maintain accurate records of pet care routines and any special instructions from owners. Offer basic grooming services such as brushing or bathing when required. Handle pets with care, employing proper animal restraint techniques when necessary. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and well-being. Qualifications Experience in dog training or handling is highly desirable. Background in veterinary assistance or veterinary technician roles is a plus. Familiarity with pet grooming techniques and practices is beneficial. Previous experience in pet sitting or animal care settings such as kennels is preferred. Strong animal handling skills with the ability to safely manage various breeds and temperaments. Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, such as lifting large dogs or carrying supplies.
