Kennel Technician Hound Housing - Kernersville, NC Hound Housing in Kernersville is looking for a fun, upbeat, and positive Kennel Technician who truly loves dogs and takes pride in providing excellent care. This is a hands-on position that plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and happy environment for our boarding and daycare guests. Position Overview Kennel Technicians are responsible for the daily care, cleanliness, and well-being of dogs in our facility. This role requires reliability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities Include:
Cleaning and sanitizing kennels (indoor and outdoor) Sweeping, mopping, and general facility cleaning Dog husbandry and daily care Walking dogs and supervising potty breaks Feeding according to instructions Administering medications as directed Bathing dogs, nail clipping, and ear cleaning Poop scooping and yard maintenance Providing friendly, professional customer service to clients Monitoring playgroups Using computers/software for scheduling, notes, and check-ins
Requirements:
Genuine love for dogs and comfort handling dogs of all sizes and ages Dependable, reliable, and punctual Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment Strong attention to cleanliness and safety Required basic computer experience Previous animal care experience is a plus but not required (training provided)
Schedules:
6:00 AM - 2 PM 8 AM-6 PM 12:00 PM - 7:00
PM Weekend Schedules:
