Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Dog Bather and become a vital part of providing exceptional pet care and grooming services! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for ensuring dogs look and feel their best through professional bathing, grooming, and handling. Your enthusiasm for animals and dedication to their well-being will shine through in every interaction. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pets and their owners, creating positive experiences that keep tails wagging and smiles bright. Responsibilities Safely handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments during bathing, grooming, and restraint procedures Perform thorough pet grooming tasks including bathing, drying, brushing, ear cleaning, nail trimming, and haircuts as needed Assist with dog training activities to promote good behavior during grooming sessions Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming stations and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment Observe dogs for signs of health issues or discomfort and communicate findings to veterinary staff or pet owners Provide excellent customer service by addressing pet owner questions and ensuring a positive experience Support kennel duties such as animal care, feeding, and light exercise when necessary Experience Prior dog handling or pet grooming experience preferred; enthusiasm for working with animals is essential Knowledge of animal handling techniques, including animal restraint and safety protocols Experience with veterinary procedures or veterinary technician/assistant roles is a plus Familiarity with pet care routines such as feeding, cleaning, and basic health monitoring Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to move animals or equipment safely Background in dog training, veterinary experience, or equine experience is advantageous but not required Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners We are dedicated to fostering a lively, supportive environment where passionate animal lovers can thrive.
