Overview Wag Love Pets takes pride in the products we offer, quality of work, team communication and continuing educations for our staff to provide the best services to our clients. we are looking to add a Groomers assistant or Pet Groomer to our team. This would be a great opportunity for a new groomer, preferably someone well versed in bathing, drying, nail trimming and ear plucking. We encourage growth and teamwork, and are willing to train to move up to a groomer for those still needing the confidence and practice. Starting pay would reflect the experience and skill sets Responsibilities Greet clients, assist in checking in/out processes, and schedule appointments Assist Groomer in bathing, drying, brushing, and nail trimming, ensuring safety and comfort at all times Handle dogs safely using proper animal restraint techniques, demonstrating patience and care during grooming sessions Maintain cleanliness of grooming areas and equipment to uphold health standards and ensure a safe environment for pets and staff Provide exceptional customer service while educating clients in the importance of pet grooming Assisting groomer in clipper work, prep work Skills Strong animal handling skills, preferably 1 year experience in pet grooming, or other animal background. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or pet handling tasks Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members Positive attitude and professional demeanor Basic understanding of animal behavior and training methods to ensure safe grooming sessions
Pay:
From $15.00 per hour
