Job Description

We are seeking a reliable, responsible Pet Care Associate to provide in-home care for pets while their owners are away. This position involves traveling to scheduled client visits, caring for pets in their homes, and providing professional updates after each visit. The ideal candidate is dependable, comfortable working independently, and genuinely enjoys caring for animals. Responsibilities Depending on the client's instructions, your daily duties may include: Taking dogs on scheduled walks and ensuring their safety Feeding pets and providing fresh drinking water Caring for dogs, cats, and other household pets in their homes Giving medications when required and following provided instructions Monitoring pets and communicating any unusual behavior or concerns Performing simple household tasks requested by the client, such as collecting mail or watering plants Using our mobile app to document visits, submit notes, and provide photos or updates Following client instructions and maintaining a high standard of care at every visit Schedule This is a part-time position. Most pet care visits are scheduled during the daytime. Applicants should generally be available for: Weekday visits between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM Some weekend visits on a rotating basis Select holidays and school-break periods Scheduling may vary based on client needs and the availability of the team.
Applicants must have:
A valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation A smartphone with reliable access to the internet The ability to travel between client homes throughout the workday The ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions The ability to safely manage dogs of different sizes, breeds, and energy levels Strong organizational and time-management skills Good communication skills A dependable approach to scheduled appointments The ability to work independently with minimal supervision Experience That Helps Previous experience with animals is helpful, particularly experience involving: Veterinary practices or animal hospitals Pet boarding or daycare Animal shelters or rescue organizations Pet medication administration Handling large, active, or high-energy dogs Formal veterinary or animal-care training is not required for all applicants. Relevant hands-on experience is valued. We are looking for team members who understand that each visit is important and who can be trusted to follow instructions, arrive as scheduled, and provide attentive care.

$20.50 - $26.00 per hour
