About the role Green Leaf Pet Resort is seeking an experienced Full-Time Dog Groomer to join our professional grooming team. This is a W-2, commission-based position offering 50% commission on all grooming services, plus tips and uncapped earning potential. We are currently offering a hiring incentive of up to $3,500, with additional consideration available for exceptional candidates who bring a strong existing book of business. Hiring incentives are subject to a 90-day retention requirement prior to payout. Responsibilities Provide high-quality grooming services based on client requests, coat condition, and breed standards Brush, bathe, condition, and de-shed dogs Perform haircuts, shaving, trimming, and hand scissoring Perform nail trims, nail Dremeling, ear cleaning, and anal gland expression Safely handle dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments Utilize appropriate safety equipment, including muzzles when necessary Communicate professionally with clients regarding grooming recommendations, coat condition, and at-home maintenance Accurately document grooming instructions and client preferences in scheduling software Maintain personal grooming tools and equipment Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized grooming station Assist with appointment scheduling when needed Follow all company safety policies and grooming procedures Ask management or teammates for assistance when appropriate Complete end-of-day salon cleaning and housekeeping responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned Experience with hand stripping, Asian fusion grooming, or cat grooming is a plus, but not required. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 2 years of professional dog grooming and haircutting experience Ability to independently complete breed-standard and client-requested haircuts Qualified candidates will be asked to complete a paid working interview so we can evaluate grooming quality, handling skills, and overall fit.
