Job Description

We are a locally owned and operated modern pet store and grooming salon in Belle Mead, NJ! We are expanding and seeking a passionate, reliable and knowledgeable dog groomer to join our team on. Prior dog grooming experience required.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that all pets are safe during the entire duration of the grooming process Bathing, conditioning and drying dogs of various sizes and temperaments Trimming, clipping and shaving hair/fur and removing/detangling matted hair in some situations Trimming dog's nails, brushing their teeth and cleaning their ears Ensure grooming tools and equipment are in good working condition Take detailed notes of each grooming appointment Present excellent customer service when communicating with pet owners Comply with pet owners' instructions and accommodate any special requests they may have (as long as they are safe and reasonable) or standard grooming styles based on breed Routinely cleaning work areas, which includes: sweeping/vacuuming, wiping down surfaces, disinfecting grooming equipment and dog crates, refilling shampoo bottles, taking out the trash
Requirements:
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on grooming experience High school diploma or GED Grooming certification is a plus Sound understanding of animal behavior The ability to stand for long periods of time The ability to lift heavy pets (50+ lbs) and equipment Excellent communication skills Willingness to learn new skills and techniques Ability to work in a positive team environment Attention to detail
Reliable Pay:
$600.00 - $1,200.00 per week
