Your expertise will help build lasting relationships with pet owners while ensuring each dog feels safe, comfortable, and pampered. This paid position offers a dynamic environment where your skills in animal handling and pet styling make a real difference in pets' lives every day. Duties Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and pet coat styling tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs with care and confidence, ensuring proper animal restraint and safe handling techniques during grooming procedures Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and other routine grooming tasks to promote pet health and hygiene Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide professional advice on pet care and maintenance Maintain a clean, organized grooming station by sanitizing tools and work areas after each appointment Assist with animal restraint during grooming to ensure safety for both pets and staff Support team members by providing veterinary experience or veterinary technician insights when needed to address special health considerations Skills Proven experience in pet grooming, including pet coat styling and pet nail trimming Strong dog handling skills with the ability to manage animals of various temperaments safely and compassionately Knowledge of animal handling techniques and animal restraint methods to ensure safety during grooming procedures Excellent communication skills for engaging with pet owners about grooming needs and pet care advice Familiarity with veterinary experience or veterinary technician experience is a plus for addressing health-related concerns during grooming Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to handle larger dogs or equipment safely Customer service-oriented mindset with a passion for animal care and well-being Join us in creating happy, healthy pets through expert grooming!
