We're looking for a reliable, compassionate, and professional dog walker/pet sitter to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who genuinely loves animals, enjoys staying active, and takes pride in being dependable, trustworthy, and detail-oriented. We aren't looking for someone who simply wants to play with dogs—we're looking for someone who wants to become a valued member of a professional pet care team. Responsibilities As a member of our team, you may provide: Dog walks for dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and temperaments Drop-in visits that may include: Feeding and fresh water Potty breaks Playtime and companionship Medication (when instructed) Cleaning up pet messes when needed Overnight pet sitting in clients' homes (approximately 9:00 PM through the pet's morning wake-up routine), including: Evening potty break Feeding if scheduled Sleeping in the client's home Completing the morning routine before leaving Carefully following each client's individualized care instructions Sending photos and visit updates after every service Monitoring pets for any changes in behavior, health, or safety Keeping clients' homes secure and respected while providing care Communicating promptly with management regarding schedules, questions, or concerns Schedule Part-time Weekday availability is highly preferred, especially between 10:00 AM-3:00 PM Evening, weekend, holiday, and overnight availability is a plus We work to build consistent weekly schedules and recurring clients whenever possible Service Area Most visits are located in: Pequannock Wayne Bloomingdale Butler Wanaque West Milford Riverdale Nearby surrounding towns Requirements Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license Smartphone with reliable internet access Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Dependable, punctual, and responsive Comfortable entering clients' homes professionally and respectfully Able to work independently and manage time effectively Able to safely handle dogs of various sizes and energy levels Previous experience with dogs, pet sitting, animal rescue, shelters, veterinary offices, or dog walking is preferred but not required Looking for someone interested in a long-term position rather than temporary or seasonal work Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who is: Passionate about animals Calm, patient, and attentive Honest and trustworthy Organized and dependable Comfortable communicating with both clients and management Able to think independently and solve problems when they arise Committed to providing exceptional care every visit Why Join Wags n' Walkin'?
