Job Description

Floor Manager for Dog Day Care (Supervisor). Camp Bow Wow Rockaway , located in Rockaway, New Jersey, is looking to hire an
EXPERIENCED
Kennel Attendant to assist with managing and training Kennel Attendants (Camp Counselors) who will be in charge of supervising and ensuring the safety of customers' dogs. This position involves hands-on work and will be physically running the shift in the back of the house including, but not limited to: Cleaning Kennels, being in play yards with 25 dogs and training new staff. This is NOT an office job, and will be looked at as a floor manager.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Monitoring the safety, cleanliness, and happiness of our doggie day campers. Must be able to lift 40 pounds and stand for a minimum of 3-4 hours on feet within a group of dogs. The ability to work both weekends and holidays is a must. You would get flexibility on holidays if worked a previous holiday. Must Love Dogs and put Dog Safety at a premium. Lots of cleaning. Not afraid to scoop up poop and clean dogs. Constantly monitoring the pups in play yards. In charge of managing the shift in the back of the house with a team of staff members and reporting back to upper management. Training New/ Current Staff Members. This is a hands-on position, not an admin job.
Requirements:
Team Player willing to adapt to changes on the fly. Must Be Punctual, Hard Working, Upbeat, and Attentive. Previous, professional dog care experience is a MUST. Consistent, non-seasonal availability is preferred. Willingness to learn and grow with us. Must be open to constructive feedback and do whatever it takes to make the customer experience a positive one.
Job Type:
Part-time or Full-time.
Salary:
Starting at $18/hour (must have experience; we will start out at an agreed number based on experience, and room for growth is always available).
