Dog Walker/Pet Sitter Pogo's Pack Waldwick, NJ Job Details Part-time From $18 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Mileage reimbursement On-the-job training Flexible schedule Qualifications Behavior management Heavy lifting Outdoor work experience Driver's License Animal enrichment activities Full Job Description Job Summary I am seeking a dedicated, passionate part-time dog walker/pet care provider to join my team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals and the ability to provide compassionate care. This role requires strong animal-handling skills, reliability, and flexibility. Candidates must be available to work 7 days a week between 7:30am and 10:00pm as needed based on client demand. Candidates must have the patience to grow with me as Pogo's Pack continues to expand. Main route will be in Waldwick/Ridgewood and may have some clients in surrounding towns. Duties Walk dogs of various breeds, sizes and temperaments. Monitor dogs behavior and health during visits, reporting any concerns to Pogo's Pack Management. Reinforce basic training commands and positive behaviors during visits. Maintain a safe environment at all times, following all company safety protocols. Handle multiple dogs at once while ensuring each pet is secure, comfortable, and well-managed. Assist with pet care duties a when owners are away. Communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners regarding their dog's visits via the mobile app. Ensure all equipment (leashes, collars, harnesses, etc.) are in good working condition and properly fitted for each dog. Experience Previous dog-handling or animal-care experience is preferred. Familiarity with basic dog-training techniques and safe animal-restraint methods. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary. Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
