Job Description

ASSISTANT KENNEL TECHNICIAN
Camp Calista | Calista Animal Hospital We're looking for someone who LOVES animals! Join our team and help provide special care for special pets in a smaller, more personal boarding environment.
YOUR DAY MAY INCLUDE
  • Providing daily care and attention to boarding dogs and cats
  • Walking, exercising, and playing with dogs
  • Bathing and basic grooming for dogs as needed
  • Feeding, caring for, and interacting with cats
  • Feeding and providing fresh water
  • Following special-care and medication instructions
  • Monitoring pets and reporting changes or concerns
  • Cleaning and sanitizing kennels, cat areas, and common spaces
  • Laundry and general facility upkeep
  • Answering phones and assisting clients
  • Checking pets in and out
  • Booking and managing boarding reservations
  • Assisting with basic computer and desk work
  • Answering client questions and communicating pet-care needs
  • Giving every pet patience, attention, and lots of

  • Reliable and hardworking
  • Patient, attentive, and compassionate
  • Comfortable caring for both dogs and cats
  • Friendly and professional with clients
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable multitasking between animal care and desk duties
  • Comfortable with hands-on, physical work
  • A team player who is willing to learn Animal-care, boarding, or customer-service experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right person!
