In this absolutely vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for animals in our care, supporting office and other kennel staff, and ensuring the highest standards of animal handling and kennel cleanliness. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals housed in kennels, including petting, watering, cleaning, and monitoring health status. Maintain accurate records of animal care and incidents, using our kennel software and administrative tools such as Microsoft Office. Handle animals with patience and confidence, including dog handling and general animal restraint techniques. Communicate effectively with pet owners and staff at the front desk when necessary Uphold high standards of cleanliness and sanitation within kennels to prevent infection, sickness or disease transmission. Support administrative tasks such as updating client records and coordinating pet care services with staff as needed Experience Previous kennel experience background required; enthusiasm for learning is essential. Familiarity with kennel and animal care industry terminology is advantageous. Knowledge of animal anatomy is beneficial. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications enhances your ability to succeed in this role. Prior experience in a pet boarding, daycare and/or grooming setting or with dog training programs will support your success as a Kennel Attendant. Strong communication abilities are vital for interacting professionally with team members.
