Responsibilities Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming sessions Assess each pet's health and behavior, alerting team members or clients of any concerns or abnormalities Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and properly stored Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with pet owners about grooming preferences, aftercare instructions, and pet health considerations Assist with pet handling tasks such as feeding, walking, or basic veterinary care when needed to support overall animal well-being Support team efforts by participating in training sessions on dog training techniques, veterinary procedures, or animal handling best practices Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of breed-specific cuts and styling techniques Knowledge of dog handling, animal restraint, and pet care best practices to ensure safety and comfort for animals during grooming Background in veterinary technician or assistant roles is highly desirable, especially experience with veterinary procedures or animal health monitoring Familiarity with animal handling across various species such as dogs and horses enhances versatility in the role Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting of animals or equipment when necessary Prior kennel experience or pet sitting background is a plus for understanding animal behavior and care needs Join us in creating a positive environment where dogs leave looking great and feeling even better!
