In this vital role, you will provide loving, attentive care for pets in the owner's home, ensuring their safety, comfort, and happiness. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals while enjoying somewhat flexible work hours. Responsibilities Provide multiple pet care including feeding, administering medication, brushing/grooming, monitoring, cleaning water/food bowls and refilling food/water. Engage pets with play, exercise, and mental stimulation tailored to their needs. Handle animal restraint safely during grooming, veterinary visits, or medication administration. Monitor pet behavior closely to identify signs of stress or health issues, communicating with owners as needed. Offer nightly in-home care to ensure pets are comfortable, secure, fed and medicated. Text detailed records of at the end of each visit including: pet activities, feeding schedules/amount eaten, medications given and any health concerns observed during visits. Skills Proven experience in animal handling or pet sitting with a strong understanding of animal behavior. Veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly desirable. Knowledge of pet care for cats and birds. Excellent client communication skills to provide updates and address owner questions confidently. Some animal restraint skills with administering pills/medicine. Customer service mindset with a positive attitude and reliability in delivering top-quality pet care. Beginning hours are evening/night hours till late (weekdays/weekends/holidays).

Pay:

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 - 20.0 per week
