Job Description

Posh Pets Rescue is seeking a dependable, hardworking Animal Care Associate to join our team. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position caring for both dogs and cats at our animal shelter.
Responsibilities include:
Safely handling dogs of all sizes, including large dogs Feeding, walking, exercising, and socializing dogs Handling and socializing cats Cleaning and disinfecting dog kennels and cat rooms Providing fresh food, water, bedding, and enrichment Monitoring the animals and reporting any health or behavioral concerns Assisting visitors, volunteers, and potential adopters Helping with other shelter duties as needed The ideal candidate must: Have experience and confidence handling large dogs Be comfortable working with both dogs and cats Be available to work weekends and holidays when needed Be dependable, punctual, and a team player Communicate well with coworkers and the public Be able to think quickly, solve problems, and take initiative Be comfortable working in a busy environment and remaining on their feet throughout the shift Understand that animal shelter work can be physically and emotionally demanding This is currently a part-time position paying $17 per hour . An average workday is approximately six hours , although hours may vary depending on the shelter's needs.
