As a Barrier Technician, you'll help provide exceptional daily care for our minipigs while maintaining a clean, healthy, and biosecure environment. What You'll Do In this role, you'll contribute to the health and well-being of our animals by: Providing high-quality daily care and husbandry for minipigs. Maintaining clean, sanitized, and biosecure animal housing and work areas. Moving and handling animals safely and humanely using established procedures. Monitoring animal health and promptly communicating observations to the appropriate team members. Supporting breeding and production activities, including breeding, farrowing, identification, routine health care, and shipment preparation. Feeding animals and maintaining accurate feeding and weight records. Recording production and animal care information using electronic record systems. Cleaning and sanitizing animal housing, equipment, and supplies using specialized cleaning equipment. Following all biosecurity, animal welfare, and workplace safety procedures. Assisting with additional responsibilities that support the success of the production team.

Work Environment This is an active, hands-on position in an animal care environment.
Team members can expect to:
Work performed in varying temperatures with regular animal interaction. Perform duties primarily on first shift, with occasional extended hours based on operational needs.? Participate in a rotating weekend schedule. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Operate cleaning and sanitation equipment. Safely lift, move, and handle animals as part of daily responsibilities.
Schedule & Compensation Shift:
Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Weekend Rotation:
Participation in a rotating weekend.
Pay Grade:
B1
Pay Range:
$19.50 - 29.25 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
