In this energetic role, you will provide professional grooming services that enhance each pet's appearance and well-being. Your expertise in animal handling, coat styling, and pet care will ensure every furry client leaves looking their best and feeling loved. This paid position offers a dynamic environment where your skills make a real difference in the lives of pets and their owners every day. Duties Perform pet grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling coats to meet breed standards or owner preferences Handle animals with care, ensuring safe restraint and comfort during grooming procedures Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other hygiene tasks to promote health and cleanliness Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming needs and provide professional advice on pet coat care Assist with animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both pets and staff during grooming sessions Maintain a clean, organized grooming area while adhering to sanitation standards Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming, including pet coat styling and pet nail trimming Strong animal handling skills with the ability to work confidently with a variety of dog breeds and sizes Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience is highly desirable Background in veterinary technician or assistant roles, or kennel work is a plus Excellent communication skills for engaging with pet owners and team members Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for handling larger animals or equipment A genuine love for animals combined with a professional attitude committed to animal care excellence
Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
