Responsibilities Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, hair trimming, pet coat styling, nail trimming, and ear cleaning tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs safely using animal restraint techniques to ensure both pet and groomer safety during grooming procedures Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming preferences, provide updates on pet behavior, and offer advice on at-home pet care Maintain a clean and organized grooming station by sanitizing tools and work areas regularly Assist with pet handling tasks such as kennel management, pet sitting, and providing gentle animal handling to ensure pets are comfortable throughout their visit Recognize signs of veterinary issues or distress in animals and refer to veterinary professionals when necessary Support team members with animal handling duties that require heavy lifting or specialized care, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times Skills Proven experience in pet grooming, including pet coat styling and pet nail trimming Strong dog handling skills with the ability to manage animals of various temperaments safely and confidently Knowledge of veterinary procedures or veterinary technician experience is a plus for understanding animal health needs Familiarity with animal restraint techniques and animal care practices for companion animals Excellent communication skills to engage with pet owners clearly and professionally Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude that makes clients feel valued and confident in your care Join us in delivering exceptional pet grooming experiences that leave dogs looking great and feeling loved!
