! If you love dogs, this is your place!! Ruff Day Resort is looking to add a Dog Handler to our team! This is position will report to our Assistant Manager. Duties include but are not limited to, cleaning, paperwork, dog handling, customer service, nail trims, bathing, photography and more cleaning. You must complete the suggested quizzes to be considered for this position. Experience with dogs, dog grooming and people is preferred. This job is filled with hard work, exposure to the weather, attention to detail and most of all dogs! If you are professional, punctual and hard working with a positive attitude, you may qualify for the position. Individuals working with Ruff Day must have integrity and be willing to do their best without being told to do so. Did we mention Dogs?! We have lots of dogs so this is a happy place for dog lovers. This job requires lots of work in your feet for more than 4 hours along with physical labor lifting 50 pounds on a regular basis. Key traits needed for our open position, attention to detail, working under pressure, team player, self starter and communication skills. Grooming experience welcomed, vet techs welcome to apply! We do work holidays, weekends and nights in addition to our typical 7am-6pm working day. Weekend shifts and holiday shifts are expected. Pay starts at $16.50 per hour during training, other positions are available for Dog handlers in customer service too. Minimum hours per week are 18 with a max of 40. We offer shifts Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday so you can maintain a work life balance.
