Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Kennel/Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe and engaging environment for dogs visiting our facility for daycare and/or boarding services. Your love for animals and ability to handle various breeds will be essential in ensuring that each dog receives the attention and care they deserve. This position requires physical stamina, as you will be involved in heavy lifting and active play with the dogs throughout your shift. Responsibilities Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime to ensure their safety and enjoyment. Provide basic care including feeding, grooming, and administering medications as needed. Maintain cleanliness of kennels and the daycare areas, including play areas, and equipment. Monitor dog behavior and intervene when necessary to prevent conflicts or accidents. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior and any concerns that arise during their visit. Assist with heavy lifting of dogs in need of support or during cleaning tasks. Ensure all safety protocols are followed to create a secure environment for both dogs and staff. Experience Previous experience in animal care or dog handling is preferred but not required. Familiarity with kennel operations, pet care, or grooming is a plus. Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners and address their needs. Ability to perform animal restraint safely when necessary. Experience in dog training techniques is advantageous but not mandatory.
