Now Hiring a Part-Time Kennel Assistant!

Would you like to work in a kennel with dogs and cats and looking for a fun, fast-paced job surrounded by animals every day? Aurora Kennel is looking for a Part-Time Kennel Assistant to join our amazing team of animal lovers! This position is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work with animals and wants to be part of a supportive, hardworking team dedicated to providing excellent care for pets and outstanding service for their owners. Schedule We currently have the following part-time shifts available : Weekday AM shifts: approximately 7:00-12:00 AM Weekday PM shifts: approximately 4:00

8:00 PM Weekend AM shifts: approximately 7:00
11:00 AM Weekend PM shifts: approximately 4:00
8:00 PM Applicants must be able to holidays and weekends.

Important Requirements To be considered, applicants must : Have previous kennel or professional animal care experience OR willing to be trained Live within 30 minutes of Aurora, Ohio Have reliable year-round transportation with valid drivers license and own vehicle Be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions Be dependable, motivated, and detail-oriented Be comfortable working independently and as part of a team What You'll Be Doing Your role will involve a variety of responsibilities to ensure pets receive the best possible care, including: Cleaning and maintaining kennel areas and outdoor play/potty yards Feeding dogs and cats (and occasionally caring for rabbits and guinea pigs) Administering medications to dogs and cats Walking dogs and providing individual playtime Answering phones and assisting customers Taking reservations and checking pets in and out of boarding Completing basic paperwork and computer tasks Who We're Looking For Our ideal candidate is someone who: Truly loves working with animals Takes pride in being organized, neat, and detail-focused Provides excellent customer service in person and over the phone Works well in a team environment Shares our values of family, respect, trust, integrity, and honesty How to Apply If this sounds like the perfect fit for you, please apply on indeed or through our website https://www.auroravet.com/about-us/careers/kennel-assistant Please do not apply unless you meet the experience requirements and can work the listed shifts, including most holidays.
