An Animal Care Worker or Manager manages animal care and grooming for a retail store that sells pets or for a pet grooming business. May also provide animal care and grooming at a kennel. Works with animals in shelters or rescue organizations. Works primarily with dogs and cats. Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.

Job Description

This grooming position requires previous experience with not only bathing, conditioning, and drying, but also trimming/styling dogs. You will be grooming dogs according to their owner's instructions or standard grooming styles. Nail trimming/grinding, teeth cleaning, and ear cleaning is a must. Knowing how to express anal glands is a plus. This can be a fast paced position with great potential of gaining many regular clients, in addition to the ones we already have. Typically, you will only working mornings, and we offer a flexible schedule. However, Monday and most Saturday mornings are two of the days we require availability.
