Job Description

The Wyandot County Equine Rescue is looking for a full-time/part time equine Caretaker / Trainer. The hours are 8am to 5pm and you must be willing to work 1 weekend day or rotating weekend shifts and must have some previous horse experience. Pay is the beginning amount and will increase as skill and reliability are demonstrated Job duties include, but are not limited to, feeding horses, cleaning stalls, cleaning waters, cleaning buckets, keeping the facilities clean, assist with vet, farrier and adoption appointments. Training consists of teaching and maintaining ground manners, correcting bad behaviors both on the ground and under saddle, desensitizing horses, starting young horses, exercising / conditioning trained horses.
