Job Description

Dog Bather — Part-Time Coats & Tails pet grooming is looking for a dependable, animal-loving Dog Bather to join our pet care team in Englewood. In this hands-on role, you'll support our grooming team by providing safe, thorough bathing services and helping every dog look and feel their best. This is a paid, part-time position. Hours are generally 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with room to grow. Tuesday through Friday, occasional Saturdays may be available. What You'll Do Safely and humanely handle dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments, prioritizing their comfort and wellbeing throughout each visit. Bathe, shampoo, condition, rinse, and dry dogs in support of the grooming team. Use appropriate animal-handling and restraint techniques to keep pets and staff safe. Keep bathing stations, grooming tools, and work areas clean, organized, and sanitized. Assist groomers as needed. What We're Looking For Previous experience in dog handling, pet grooming, animal care, or a similar role is preferred; we welcome applicants eager to learn and grow. Knowledge of dog breeds, whether gained personally or professionally. Basic familiarity with dog behavior and training techniques. Confidence handling dogs safely and compassionately. Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude. Ability to stay on your feet for the shift, safely handle bathing equipment, and assist with lifting larger dogs when needed.
