In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care for pets in a safe and nurturing environment. You will engage with animals of various breeds and sizes, ensuring their well-being through attentive care, grooming, and handling. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for animals and a commitment to delivering high-quality pet care services. We are offering $15/hour during 6 week training period with raise afterward. Hours fluctuate based on the capacity of guests. Currently hiring for weekends - 8am start time Duties Provide daily care for pets, including feeding, walking, and exercising. Ensure the cleanliness of pet areas, including kennels and grooming stations. Perform basic grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming. Handle animals safely and effectively using proper restraint techniques. Monitor the health and behavior of pets, reporting any concerns to management or veterinary staff. Assist with pet sitting services as needed, ensuring pets receive consistent care in their home environment. Maintain accurate records of pet care activities and any health observations. Collaborate with team members to create a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Qualifications Experience in animal handling or pet care is preferred; familiarity with dog handling techniques is a plus. Knowledge of animal restraint methods to ensure safety during interactions. Previous experience in veterinary settings as a veterinary technician or assistant is advantageous. Skills in pet grooming are desirable but not mandatory; training may be provided. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required.
