Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Dog Groomer, where your passion for animals and grooming expertise will shine! In this energetic role, you will provide professional grooming services that enhance the health, hygiene, and appearance of our canine clients. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure each pet leaves looking and feeling their best. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, clipping, and styling according to breed standards and customer preferences Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and safety during grooming procedures Assess each pet's coat condition and skin health, providing recommendations for ongoing care or veterinary referral if necessary Maintain a clean, organized grooming station by sanitizing tools and work areas regularly Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming requests and provide advice on pet care and maintenance Assist with pet handling during appointments, ensuring a calm environment for anxious or energetic dogs Keep detailed records of grooming services performed, special instructions, and pet behavior observations Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of dog handling techniques Knowledge of dog training principles and veterinary experience is highly desirable Familiarity with animal restraint methods to ensure safe grooming sessions Background in veterinary technician or assistant roles, animal handling, or kennel work is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to handle large or heavy dogs safely Excellent customer service skills to build trust with pet owners and address their concerns professionally Passion for animal care with a genuine love for dogs and their well-being Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Join us in creating happy, healthy pets through expert grooming!
