Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Dog Groomer to join our vibrant pet care team! In this role, you will be the expert in transforming pets into their best selves through professional grooming, styling, and animal handling. Your enthusiasm for animals and dedication to providing exceptional customer service will ensure every pet leaves looking and feeling fantastic. This position offers a dynamic environment where your skills in pet grooming, handling, and care will shine, making a positive impact on pets and their owners alike. Responsibilities Perform pet grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling coats to meet client specifications and breed standards Handle dogs safely and confidently during grooming procedures, ensuring animal restraint and comfort throughout the process Maintain a clean and sanitary grooming area, including equipment sterilization and proper disposal of waste Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming preferences, provide updates on pet behavior, and offer care advice Assist with pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and other pet hygiene tasks as needed Recognize signs of veterinary concerns or health issues during grooming sessions and advise clients accordingly Support animal handling duties such as kennel management, pet sitting, or assisting veterinary staff when required Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of coat styling techniques and animal handling skills Knowledge of dog training principles and veterinary experience is highly desirable Familiarity with veterinary technician or assistant roles enhances your ability to assess pet health during grooming Ability to handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques; experience with animal behavior management is a plus Excellent communication skills for engaging with pet owners and team members effectively Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during grooming sessions Prior kennel experience or pet sitting background is beneficial for understanding animal needs beyond grooming tasks Join us in creating happy, healthy pets by combining your grooming expertise with compassionate animal care. Pay:
$23.76 - $28.61 per hour
