Job Description

Are you passionate about dogs and animal care? We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and compassionate team member to join our kennel and grooming team. We primarily need afternoon and some weekend availability. Friday morning shifts may also be available. We are also looking for someone who can occasionally provide weekend dog-sitting care . Experience working with dogs is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Responsibilities Animal Care Feed and provide fresh water to dogs according to individual care instructions Monitor dogs for signs of illness, injury, discomfort, or stress Provide exercise, enrichment, social interaction, and attentive care Follow each dog's care routine carefully Assist with occasional weekend dog-sitting duties as needed Kennel Cleaning and Facility Care Clean and sanitize kennels, bowls, bedding, play areas, and common spaces Wash, fold, and organize laundry Help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary facility Restock supplies and keep work areas organized Grooming Assistance Bathe, brush, and dry dogs Assist the groomer with safe handling and preparation Clean and sanitize grooming equipment and bathing areas Provide post-grooming care and supervision Safety and Medication Support Safely and confidently handle dogs of different sizes and temperaments Administer medications according to written instructions Maintain accurate medication and care logs Follow all facility safety and emergency procedures Customer Service Occasionally greet clients and assist with basic questions Maintain a friendly, helpful, and professional attitude Required Qualifications Comfortable working with dogs of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments Reliable, punctual, dependable, and detail-oriented Able to lift, bend, stand, and perform physical tasks throughout a shift Strong attention to cleanliness, sanitation, and safety Able to pass a background check and drug screening Preferred Qualifications Previous kennel, dog daycare, grooming, pet-sitting, or veterinary experience Knowledge of dog behavior and safe handling techniques Experience bathing, brushing, or drying dogs Our Ideal Candidate Compassionate, patient, and attentive with animals Calm and confident when handling dogs Hardworking and willing to help wherever needed Dependable and team-oriented Available for afternoons, some weekends, and potentially Friday mornings Willing to assist with occasional weekend dog-sitting assignments Ability to pass a background check To Apply Please send: A brief introduction about yourself Details about your relevant animal-care experience Your general availability, including afternoons, Friday mornings, and weekends References, if available Work location: In person in
