Job Description

Kennel Des Les Anges is seeking Pet Care Technicians for our boarding, grooming, and doggy daycare business. Pet Care Technicians are primarily responsible for feedings and potty breaks, monitoring play groups, and frequent and thorough cleaning of the facility. We have a 1-acre fenced field for dogs to run and play in. Our guests go out to play every day - rain, wind, snow, or shine - and this position requires work in all types of weather. Prior experience working with dogs is not required. The work environment can be fast-paced, but not overwhelmingly so. We try to err on the side of staffing too many people for a shift rather than too few. Must be able to work weekends and on holidays. We prioritize the safety of our employees and the safety and comfort of the animals in our care. We are protective of the working environment here, where staff are respectful and considerate of each other, and where many lasting friendships have been formed.
DUTIES OF A PET CARE TECHNICIAN
Meet the needs of client dogs: feeding, potty breaks, play/exercise, medications Sweep, mop, wash dishes, pick up pet waste, do laundry, scrub kennels Handle dogs safely and respectfully Be on time - we care for live animals who are entitled to a high and consistent standard of care Work outdoors in all kinds of weather Be able to stay on your feet for the duration of your shift and lift up to 50 lbs
