If you love dogs and cats, enjoy staying active, and take pride in providing excellent care, we'd love to meet you! About the Position Our Kennel Attendants play an important role in making sure our boarding, groming, and Daycare patients are comfortable, clean, safe, and well cared for throughout their stay. This is a part-time position with a primary need for evening coverage and weekend availability.
Schedule Needs Weekday evening shifts:
2:00 PM
- 10:00 PM Weekend shifts may vary: 7:00 AM
- 2:00 PM 8:00 AM
- 5:00 PM 2:00 PM
- 10:00 PM Weekend availability is required, with schedules varying based on hospital needs.
Responsibilities Provide compassionate care to dogs and cats staying at our hospital Feed and provide fresh water according to individual instructions Walk dogs and provide appropriate exercise and enrichment Clean kennels, runs, litter boxes, and patient areas Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment Monitor pets for changes in behavior or condition and communicate concerns to the veterinary team Assist with bathing and basic pet care as needed Follow all hospital safety, cleaning, and animal-care protocols Provide patients with patience, attention, and lots of TLC! Work as part of a team to ensure our patients and clients receive a great experience What We're Looking For Previous animal care, kennel, boarding, veterinary, daycare, or pet-care experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person Comfortable handling dogs and cats of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments Reliable and dependable Able to work independently while also being a strong team player Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail Able to be on your feet for extended periods and perform physical duties such as cleaning, walking dogs, lifting, and moving supplies Most importantly, someone who genuinely enjoys caring for animals!
