Duties Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed by veterinary staff Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennels, cages, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills Assist with pet boarding, pet sitting, and pet grooming services to meet client needs Monitor animals' behavior and health, reporting any concerns or unusual activity to veterinary or supervisory staff Support outdoor work activities such as walking dogs, cleaning outdoor enclosures, and yard maintenance Assist with animal restraint during examinations or grooming procedures while ensuring safety for both animals and staff Skills Prior veterinary experience or veterinary technician experience is highly valued Experience in pet sitting, dog training, or animal behavior management is preferred Strong animal handling and restraint skills to ensure safety during interactions Ability to perform heavy lifting and team lifting when moving animals or supplies safely Excellent customer service skills for communicating with pet owners and visitors Knowledge of pet grooming techniques and pet care facility sanitization standards Outdoor work experience including dog walking or yard maintenance is a plus Ability to stay attentive to animal behavior cues and respond appropriately in dynamic situations This role is perfect for passionate animal lovers eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.
