Job Description

Griffin Pond Animal Shelter is seeking kennel attendants and dog handlers for immediate hire, offering paid time off for full-time employees and growth potential for the right candidate. We are seeking dedicated, passionate, and enthusiastic candidates who are eager to provide the absolute best pet care possible. The shelter sees many different types of animals, so candidates must be comfortable with all types of animals.
THIS JOB IS FOR YOU IF
You are interested in learning more about dog behavior You're able to work with all species of animals You are comfortable working in a shelter environment You take ownership of your work and find things to do without being told You love animals and are passionate about working with them You don't mind getting dirty, but you know how to keep things clean! You are able to work independently, for the betterment of the larger team. You're happy to stay busy on your feet, both inside and outside You're able to work in all elements of weather You're at least 18 years of age Job duties may include, but are not limited to: Daily cleaning of the dog and cat kennel areas Daily feeding Dog walking Learning dog and cat behavior Dishes Laundry Putting away donations Learning enrichment

  • 12 per hour based on experience.
Prior experience handling dogs is preferred.
