Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the skills necessary to provide exceptional support in a kennel environment. This role involves caring for pets, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the well-being of animals in our facility. Duties Provide daily care for dogs, including feeding and exercising. Maintain cleanliness of suites and common areas by regularly cleaning and sanitizing spaces. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns. Assist with customer service and reception duties. Ability to give baths and nail trims when requested. Help with heavy lifting tasks associated with moving animals or supplies within the facility. Participate in training sessions for dogs when required, promoting positive behavior and obedience. Qualifications Previous experience in a kennel or pet care setting is preferred but not mandatory. Strong animal handling skills with an understanding of various breeds and their needs. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required (up to 50 pounds). Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners and team members. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare is essential.
