Job Description
Saturday availability is required. Love dogs and enjoy working with people? We're looking for a dependable, compassionate team member to join our Scenthound pack! This is a hands-on dog care and customer service position. You'll split your time between helping dog parents at the front desk and providing bathing and basic wellness services to their dogs. No professional grooming experience? That's okay! If you're reliable, coachable, comfortable handling dogs, and excited to learn, we'd love to meet you. What You'll Do Customer Service & Front Desk Welcome and assist dog parents Answer phones and schedule appointments Manage customer profiles and records Educate dog parents about their dog's health and wellness Recommend memberships, service add-ons, and retail products when appropriate Help drive rebooking and membership retention Dog Care Bathe and blow-dry dogs Brush coats and clean ears and teeth Clip/grind nails Perform other basic bathing and hygiene services according to training and company standards Safely handle and care for dogs throughout their visit Observe and record relevant health indicators in the Scenthound app Work with your team to complete each dog's ordered services Team & Safety Maintain a clean and safe environment Follow dog-handling and employee-safety procedures Communicate effectively with teammates and dog parents Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Help your team provide a great experience for every dog What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: Reliable and accountable Comfortable working with dogs Patient and compassionate Coachable and willing to learn Comfortable speaking with customers A strong team player Detail-oriented and organized Able to stand for extended periods Able to safely lift and handle dogs weighing up to 70 lbs.
