Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.

Job Description

- only card payments will be accepted. Cash tips are acceptable. Previous grooming experience is required but we welcome all skill levels to apply. However, all candidates will be required to complete a start to finish groom before employment is offered. Background check and clean driving history are both mandatory for employment. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Safely operate and drive company vehicle to and from clientele's homes
- Bathe, dry and groom pets according to specific instructions and breed standards
- Use appropriate grooming techniques and tools to ensure the comfort and safety of the pets
- Handle and restrain animals in a gentle and compassionate manner
- Carry out nail trims, ear cleaning, and other basic grooming tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area
- Monitor the health and well-being of the pets during the grooming process
- Provide exceptional customer service to pet owners
Required Skills:
- Pet grooming: Knowledge of basic grooming techniques, including bathing, brushing, and drying
- Animal handling: Ability to safely handle and restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments
- Dog handling: Experience working with dogs, understanding their behavior, and using positive reinforcement techniques
- Animal restraint: Ability to safely restrain animals during grooming procedures
- Heavy lifting: Ability to lift heavy objects such as large dogs or equipment
