At Animal Arts, we listen, learn, and share knowledge to create innovative spaces for the care of animals. Through architecture and design, we promote and support the advancement of animal welfare and wellness. About Us The veterinary studio team that you will join is experienced and passionate about designing the best veterinary hospitals for our clients. Vicki Pollard, Vet Tech, and Principal/Architect (Penn State), Keith Schwendeman, Senior Project Manager (K. State), Weston Bugbee, Project Manager (CU), are supported by Evan Ollenburger, Job Captain (K. State), Nick Snyder (UWM) and Kenna Wil, Designer (Iowa State). Our overall Animal Arts team that you would also collaborate with consists of 39 members' total. We have 5 Principals and 3 dedicated Associates. Additionally, we have a talented Director of Marketing and Business Development who has been with our team for over 15 years, our Human Resource Manager, Project Accountant, Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, Job Captains, and Designers. Please check out our website to get a glimpse of some of our projects and learn more about our team. www.animalarts.com About You You would be responsible for actively managing multiple small and medium projects from start to finish, and have strengths in specific technical design aspects. Internally you would coordinate with Principals/Senior PMs to oversee a team of Job Captains and Designers to manage overall project quality, financial performance, project schedules, and internal and external communications. You would oversee and perform research, recommend design solutions, perform planning and design, lead value engineering exercises, and administer project construction for clients. Additionally, you would coordinate and integrate work with outside designers, engineers, construction administrators, consultants, local architects, developers, and any other members of the overall project team.Core Competencies:
Strong presentation and communication skills. Lead a team to effectively achieve project schedules and budgets. Ability to consult with clients to determine functional and spatial requirements of the project Lead preparation of information regarding design, including specifications, materials, colors, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time. Collaborate with team members to execute project plans, monitor plans, notify team members of changes in scope, prepare project history, and close out projects. Lead technical development and evaluation of design solutions. Write and edit project specifications. Orchestrate quality assurance and quality control milestones, ensure project compliance, and lead team members to review project-specific errors/omissions and assist in resolutions. Plan, monitor, and control technical costs and schedule performance, and review project financial reports to achieve project profit goals. Conduct periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans and specifications. Maintain positive client and consultant relationships. Write proposals and establish the scope of work, schedule, and budget. Display proficiency in Revit, Adobe Suite, and Project Management software. Provide successful and positive guidance, mentorship, conflict resolution, communication, and management of project team members. Overall, you have an advanced knowledge of project design and execution, with a strong aptitude in planning and design, and strong technical documentation abilities.
