Duties Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, hair trimming, pet coat styling, nail trimming, and ear cleaning to meet each pet's specific needs. Handle dogs safely using animal restraint techniques and ensure their comfort throughout the grooming process. Maintain a clean, sanitary grooming area by sanitizing tools and workspaces regularly. Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming preferences, health considerations, and aftercare instructions. Assist with pet care routines such as feeding, or kennel cleaning when necessary. Manage heavy lifting tasks related to equipment or supplies to ensure safety and efficiency. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client questions and scheduling appointments promptly. Experience Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of dog handling and animal restraint techniques. Background in veterinary environments such as veterinary technician or assistant experience is highly desirable. Familiarity with veterinary procedures including pet nail trimming, animal care protocols, and health monitoring. Knowledge of animal handling across various species including dogs and equines is a plus. Prior kennel experience or pet sitting roles that demonstrate responsibility for animal well-being. Excellent communication skills for engaging with pet owners about grooming needs and animal health concerns. Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged standing while maintaining a lively attitude.
