What you'll do Provide exceptional grooming services, including bathing, cutting, and styling for various breeds of dogs and other pets. Utilize your dog handling skills to create a safe and comfortable environment for pets during grooming sessions. Implement animal restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both pets and groomers during grooming procedures. Offer pet care advice to pet owners, enhancing their understanding of proper grooming practices and overall pet health. Collaborate with veterinary professionals when necessary, leveraging your veterinary technician or assistant experience for optimal pet care. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area, adhering to hygiene standards for pet safety. Engage with clients through outstanding customer service, fostering strong relationships built on trust and care. Assist with heavy lifting as needed, ensuring all pets are handled safely throughout the grooming process. Basic qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming or related fields such as animal handling or kennel work. Preferred qualifications Background in dog training or veterinary experience is highly desirable. Familiarity with equine care is a plus! Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their needs. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
