Job Description
Key responsibilities include:
Walking and exercising dogs according to individual care instructions and schedules Transport pets Providing attentive supervision and ensuring pets' safety while in the company's care Following client instructions regarding feeding, medication, routines, and special care needs Communicating with clients regarding appointments, pet care needs, schedule changes, and updates Assisting with scheduling and coordinating daily dog walking and pet sitting appointments Maintaining accurate records of visits, services provided, and client instructions Responding to phone calls, emails, and client inquiries Assisting with general office administration, data entry, filing, and organization Reporting any unusual behavior, injuries, accidents, or concerns involving pets to management and/or the pet owner Maintaining a professional and courteous relationship with clients while representing the pet sitting business Follow all care instructions and company protocolsRequirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous office, administrative, customer service, or pet-care experience preferred Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to schedule and coordinate dog walks, pet-sitting visits, and client appointments Good computer skills, including email, calendars, spreadsheets, and data entry Ability to answer phone calls and respond professionally to client questions and requests Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to maintain accurate client, pet, scheduling, and service records Ability to follow detailed instructions regarding individual pets and their care Basic understanding of safe handling and care of dogs and other household pets Ability to communicate promptly about schedule changes, emergencies, injuries, or other pet-related concerns Reliable transportation Ability to safely walk and supervise dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and energy levels Ability to work independently and make responsible decisions while caring for clients' pets Dependable, trustworthy, patient, and comfortable working with animals Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding clients' homes, schedules, and personal information Ability to remain calm and follow company procedures during unexpected situations or pet emergencies Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation Smartphone (iPhone or Android) for scheduling and communication Availability on weekdays, weekends, and holidays Must live in or near Northeast Los Angeles High school diploma or equivalent Ability to provide professional references Summary We are seeking a dependable, organized, and animal-loving individual to join our pet-sitting and dog-walking team.
