Job Description

Overview Paws & Relax Grooming Salon is hiring a Bather / Groomer's Assistant. Pay is $15/hour.
Schedule:
Mon-Fri 8:30am- 4pm. Weekends are not required.
Your job:
bathe, towel, crate-dry, and prep dogs so groomers can stay on the table. You'll work with different sizes and temperaments, keep the wet room moving, and help the floor stay clean and safe. This is an assistant role — not a grooming chair and not commission. If you want to become a groomer, this is the perfect first step. You'll learn the salon, the dogs, and the pace from the wash tub up. Salon, bathing, kennel, or daycare experience helps. What we need most is someone who shows up, stays calm with dogs, and wants to grow. Apply if that's you. We build groomers from this seat. Pay & Perks $15/hour W-2 100% of tips on bath only dogs Paid weekly Employee Discount Hours follow the salon book — busier days mean more hours, slower days mean a shorter shift Path to groomer training for the right person Duties Bathe, towel-dry, and crate-dry dogs Brush and prep coats so the groomer can start Help lift, hold, and move dogs safely Clean tubs, tables, kennels, tools, and the wet room Restock shampoo, towels, and supplies Assist with slatmill / Run Club setup and cleanup when needed Watch for signs a dog is stressed or unwell and tell the groomer or manager right away Keep the floor moving so appointments stay on time Experience Comfortable handling dogs of different sizes and energy levels Salon, kennel, daycare, or bathing experience is a plus — not required Willing to learn; this is the first step toward becoming a groomer Can stand, bend, and help lift dogs safely Reliable, on time, and able to work a schedule that follows the salon book Good communication with the team How To Apply Please send your name, experience, days you can work to paws.relaxgs@gmail.com or text 864-256-1371
