An Animal Care Worker or Manager manages animal care and grooming for a retail store that sells pets or for a pet grooming business. May also provide animal care and grooming at a kennel. Works with animals in shelters or rescue organizations. Works primarily with dogs and cats. Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.

Your duties and responsibilities would be to check on the pet, take them for a walk, provide them with food, treats, and water, give them medication if needed, and keep them company. Must be willing to work part -time and availability over holidays. Flexible schedule and 2 to 4 days a week. Possibly overnight sitting also. Must live within the Daniel Island/Clements Ferry area. Ensure the safety and security of the pets and the home while the owner is away. Provide regular updates to the pet owner, including photos and reports on the pet's well-being. Manage multiple pets and adhere to special care instructions for different breeds or species. Handle any emergencies or unforeseen situations, such as illness or accidents. Doing any additional chores (collecting mail, water plants, etc.)
