Job Summary

•This position is for an experienced dog groomer. If you have not worked as a dog groomer, you will not be considered for this position. A portfolio is required.

•We are seeking an experienced Dog Groomer to join our pet care team. This role is tasked to rebuild a thriving grooming business in an established Boarding facility. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for providing professional grooming services and marketing to attract new clients. The successful candidate must have a passion for animals and a desire to grow. This position is paid on commission and offers an exciting opportunity to combine your love for animals with your grooming expertise in a supportive environment. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including full body hair cut, bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling according to breed standards and customer preferences Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and safety for both pets and staff Assess each pet's coat condition and skin health, recommending additional veterinary or pet care services when appropriate Maintain a clean, organized grooming station by sanitizing tools and work areas regularly Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming requests and provide advice on pet care and maintenance Assist with dog training or behavioral guidance as needed to facilitate grooming procedures Skills Strong animal handling skills with the ability to work calmly and confidently around dogs of all sizes and temperaments Experience in pet grooming, including bathing, trimming, and styling breedspecific cuts Knowledge of veterinary procedures or veterinary technician experience is a plus for understanding skin conditions and health concerns Familiarity with dog training techniques and animal restraint methods to ensure safe grooming sessions Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners

Pay:

$15.00 - $45.00 per hour
