This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals and people alike. Assist prospective adopters by answering questions about animals' temperaments, health needs, and suitability for their lifestyle Conduct animal assessments to evaluate behavior and compatibility with potential owners Educate visitors on pet care, grooming, training techniques, and veterinary requirements to promote responsible ownership Facilitate the adoption process by completing paperwork, explaining policies, and ensuring all documentation is accurate Provide hands-on animal handling and restraint during meet-and-greet sessions to ensure safety for both animals and visitors Support kennel management by maintaining clean, organized spaces and monitoring animal well-being Collaborate with veterinary staff to relay health concerns or special needs of animals up for adoption Assist with pet grooming or pet sitting duties as needed to prepare animals for adoption or temporary care Strong animal handling skills with experience in dog training, dog handling, or animal restraint techniques Background in veterinary experience, veterinary technician work, or veterinary assistant roles is highly desirable Knowledge of pet care practices including grooming, pet sitting, and general animal welfare standards Ability to lift heavy objects safely to handle supplies or assist with kennel cleaning and maintenance Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse audiences Experience working with various animals such as dogs, cats, or equines is a plus Familiarity with kennel operations and animal care protocols to ensure a safe environment for all animals and visitors Join us in creating joyful moments for pets and people!
