Overview Join our dynamic team as a Kennel Technician and become a vital part of providing exceptional care for our furry friends! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for animals in our care. Your dedication will ensure pets feel loved, secure, and well-cared-for while their owners trust us with their beloved companions. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals daily, develop valuable skills, and contribute to a compassionate pet care community. Duties Provide daily animal care including feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed by veterinary staff Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, and common areas to uphold hygiene standards Handle dogs and other animals safely using proper restraint techniques to prevent injury or stress Assist with dog training activities to promote good behavior and socialization Support pet grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming to ensure pets look and feel their best Observe animals for signs of illness or distress and report concerns promptly to veterinary professionals Engage in pet sitting duties by walking dogs, playing with animals, and providing companionship to enhance their well-being Skills Experience in dog handling, animal restraint, or pet care is highly valued Knowledge of veterinary procedures or veterinary technician experience is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when moving supplies or animals Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Familiarity with pet grooming techniques and basic dog training methods Animal handling skills combined with patience, compassion, and attention to detail Prior kennel experience or veterinary assistant background enhances your ability to excel in this role Join us in making a difference in the lives of pets and their owners!
