Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and welfare, providing a safe and nurturing environment for pets in our facility. This role involves hands-on interaction with animals, ensuring their health, comfort, and well-being while also assisting with various kennel operations. Duties Provide daily care for dogs and other animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising. Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to appropriate staff. Assist in administering medications. Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques during grooming. Support pet owners with customer service inquiries regarding their pets' care and well-being. Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to animal care supplies or equipment. Skills Experience in dog handling is preferred to ensure effective communication with animals. Proficiency in pet grooming techniques to maintain the appearance and hygiene of animals. Strong skills in animal care, including knowledge of pet behavior and health needs. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks related to kennel maintenance and animal care. Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners and team members. Familiarity with animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during handling.
