Responsibilities Perform pet grooming and styling services, including bathing, brushing, trimming, and pet coat styling tailored to each animal's breed and individual needs Handle a variety of animals with care, ensuring safe animal restraint and gentle handling during grooming procedures Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other grooming maintenance tasks to promote pet health and hygiene Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming preferences, special needs, and aftercare instructions Assist with animal handling during grooming appointments, ensuring proper animal restraint and safety protocols are followed Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations and equipment to uphold hygiene standards Support pet care activities such as feeding, administering medication if trained, and providing companionship during grooming sessions Experience Prior experience in pet grooming or styling is highly preferred; certification from a recognized grooming program is a plus Background in veterinary experience, veterinary technician roles, or veterinary assistant positions is advantageous for understanding animal health needs Familiarity with dog training techniques and canine behavior enhances your ability to handle animals confidently Experience with animal handling across various species including dogs, cats, horses or other companion animals is beneficial Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and provide excellent client satisfaction Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for handling larger animals or equipment safely Knowledge of kennel procedures, pet sitting responsibilities, and general animal care practices Join us as a Pet Groomer/Stylist where your expertise makes a difference!
