Job Description

Job Summary Hi there! We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal groomer for our shop, has genuine love for animals and the ability to provide high-quality grooming services while ensuring the comfort and safety of our pets. Pay scale is based on a 6-8 dog schedule which includes 2-3 large dogs (mostly doodles) a day. Schedules can be modified and customized to fit the best time line for each individual groomer. Every groomer will receive an equipment bonus upon completing a 3 month trial period of employment, along with yearly anniversary bonus and Christmas bonus. a Grooming portfolio with be requested during interview
SATURDAYS ARE
REQUIRED, but we do provide 1 three day weekend a month, if desired. Pay is Determined by # of dogs and types of dogs you groom. Additional hours. Food is provided on longer work days. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs within a designated time frame. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs, health concerns, and any special requirements. Along with good team building and communication skills between colleague. Handle animals safely and humanely, utilizing proper restraint techniques as needed. Monitor pets during grooming sessions for signs of stress or discomfort, adjusting techniques accordingly. Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing any questions or concerns they may have. Stay updated on grooming trends, techniques, and best practices to enhance personal skills and grooming style. Qualifications Previous experience in pet grooming is
REQUIRED 3
years experience minimum. Knowledge of animal care principles, including basic veterinary knowledge is a plus. Strong skills in dog handling, animal restraint, and general pet care practices. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A genuine passion for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential. Willing to work in a team based environment.
