Job Overview Suzette's Dog and Cat Grooming, Inc. is looking for experienced dog groomers. We have two locations and this is a commission only position. We are open 6 days a week and Saturdays are required for every employee. We open at 8 am and close at 5 pm. Must provide your own grooming equipment. Bathing and drying equipment is provided. Commission rates are based on experience and will be determined by the owner. Duties Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping to meet each pet's specific needs and breed standards Handle dogs safely and confidently to ensure a stress-free grooming experience Assess each pet's coat condition, skin health, and overall behavior to tailor grooming procedures accordingly Maintain a clean and sanitary grooming station, including proper disposal of waste and disinfecting tools and equipment. This includes sweeping, mopping, cleaning of areas in the shop to maintain a clean environment for clients and their pets. Communicate effectively with pet owners to discuss grooming preferences, special needs, and aftercare instructions Assist with pet handling during grooming to ensure safety for both animals and staff This location also provides boarding so other chores may be included at some times. Experience Previous dog grooming experience is required, with a strong understanding of breed-specific cuts and style Strong customer service skills are essential for building trust with pet owners and ensuring satisfaction Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for handling larger dogs or equipment safely Embark on a fulfilling career where every day is an opportunity to make pets look great and feel loved!
