Responsibilities Safely handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments during grooming sessions, utilizing proper animal restraint techniques. Perform pet coat styling, bathing, drying, brushing, and trimming to meet client specifications. Conduct pet nail trimming and ear cleaning to promote healthy grooming standards. Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools, workstations, and bathing areas to ensure a hygienic environment. Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming preferences, special needs, and aftercare instructions. Assist with pet sitting and kennel duties as needed to support overall animal care operations. Use veterinary experience or veterinary technician skills when necessary for animals requiring special attention or medical considerations. Skills Strong dog handling and animal handling skills with the ability to manage various breeds and temperaments confidently. Experience in pet grooming, including pet coat styling, pet nail trimming, and bathing techniques. Knowledge of veterinary procedures or veterinary technician experience is a plus for handling animals with medical needs. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for bathing tubs or transporting animals safely. Excellent communication skills for engaging with pet owners and team members effectively.
